Library Home

Welcome to the MES Library Media Center. Our Library Media Center allows students to be innovative. Our Librarian, Ms. Barton, collaborates with teachers and aligns library curriculum to reinforce the content students learn in class. Students engage in coding and other 21st-century technology practices that enhance skill development, individual success, and student achievement. Most importantly, students develop an interest in the books they choose, which inspires their passion for literature.

Second through fifth grade, students may check out two books per week. In order to check out a new book every week, students must return their library books before their classes’ weekly library times.

If a student fails to bring in his/her library book, or if it is lost or damaged, there will be a fine for the price of the book and the required library-style binding.

Students may also check out books during the morning and afternoon check out times as follows:

  • Morning: 7:45 a.m.–8:15 a.m.
  • Afternoon: 2:00 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
